It always seems as if time speeds up only when you suddenly have a lot to do and you begin to lose the enjoyment in everyday things. I've found myself awed by how quickly the time is passing, and how little it really does feel like the beginning of the holiday season ( Read more... )

I was somewhat cursed with the same problem all through High School with girls that aren't dates. This girl Cher and myself were always pretty close and enjoyed having fun with each other. It was nothing more than as two friends. Noone else seemed to think so, especially our respective boyfirends or girlfriends at the time. I'm fairly sure that the both of us lost at least one of each simply because they didn't see it as friends. The situation is a little changed now since I'm not at home much to spend time with her, so people think it's a little more possible than friends, but to this day noone will believe that we've never at least kissed. Even my parents :p

Haha. I have a couple of friends like that too, though they never caused any sort of personal life strife like that.

I often go out with a male friend to eat or to the cinema, and it's not a date. My parents are the only people who still make some inappropriate comment about it. Its a shame people still think like that as if it was a girl they wouldnt say anything.

I suppose part of it is just me being self-conscious, since it doesn't bother her any. Still, it's good to know i'm not alone on this sort of thing.
