Gimme That Old Time Rock And Roll

Since the band I'm in is finally coming together, I've been trying to gather up material to write songs as well as other songs to cover. Problem is, the music I'm looking for is so very hard to find. When you get a site up for your films you ought to add sound bites of your band. What do you play?

A good idea! Our saxophone player is a computer genius, so he'll probably do something like that.

What do I play, or what does the band play?

I'm a drummer, always have been, always will be. Luckily, everyone else is so skilled that my drumming gets drowned out. It was a challenge learning how to sing while drumming, but I'm proud to say that I can get away with it.

As for the band itself, it's a combination of original music (I write the lyrics, the piano player writes the music) and covers of rock and jazz. Mostly Billy Joel/Elton John/Ben Folds/Ray Charles/John Coltrane/Count Basie/Rolling Stones/Beatles/Pink Floyd/Bruce Springsteen, but I'm hoping we have more original music and less covers of others.
