[It's like he's a part of that dream-unintentionally, but knowing. Words that he doesn't really mean just burst out at the heat of the moment, berating Cless for something that isn't his fault at all-
When Cless apologizes for something that's not. his. fault, an unexplainable surge of anger rushes through Chester, forcing him to raise his voice against his own best friend. His own best friend, who's lost just as much as he did in the span of a couple of minutes.
But Chester's body reacts on his own, clenching his hand into a fist and slugging Cless as hard as he can and the impact hurts, because Cless never pulls back from his punches.]
[ His best friend's arrival manages to take him by surprise, even as a disorienting feeling of deja vu settles over him. The punch is less surprising, but no less painful than it had been the first time, because Cless doesn't pull away, doesn't defend himself.
This isn't right, things are jumbling together, and when Cless hits the ground, his parents are gone. The bodies are gone. It's just him and Chester and the ache in his jaw and under his breastbone.
Slowly, painstakingly, he pushes himself onto his elbows, lifting a hand to make sure Chester hadn't broken skin with his punch before he finally looks up. ]
[It takes some time for Chester to calm down, because unlike Cless, he's not one to take things without an outburst of emotion. But in the end, Chester doesn't mean any of this and he's just upset, like he was after the incident.
Instead, he wakes up a bit, widens his eyes at what he's done before looking away, a hand over his mouth and swearing underneath his breath.
He sits next to Cless, and leans back, hands supporting his weight as he looks out to the white nothingness surrounding them.]

[ As if maybe sensing Cless' desperation for the earth to open up and swallow him whole, dream!Mint disappears, though the blush on his face does not. ]

[ What else is there to do? Cless drops to his knees at his father's side, his sword falling to the ground next to him with a clank. His eyes are wide, horrified, and soon--spilling over with tears. ]
[Just... walking through the village, looking down at the corpses scattered along the ground. It was unfortunate, really. But this was what war brought about, wasn't it?
He makes his way to Cless, looking down on him and his misery. He does not feel remorse.]

[ The moment Dhaos begins speaking, Cless reacts, pulling his sword out of its sheath and lashing out at him in a single, fluid motion. The expression on his face is murderous. ]

[It is strange to think that Cless dreams of her. Even stranger, to actually see the dream as he's having it. She cannot help but feel like she is intruding to some degree, as backward as it may sound.
She doesn't know when she merges with her dream-self, exactly, but Cless's fingers are very real, and very solid against her cheek. She opens her mouth to speak, yet no words come out. She blinks. And then, finally-]
dream two; it's okay, baby <3whackadhaosJanuary 15 2010, 01:20:24 UTC
[ The little snowflake is gone, so why is his hand still on her cheek? It's as if there's some kind of magnetic pull on him, bringing his body closer--until she speaks. ]
Ah--Mint.
[ He blinks, as if waking from a trance--and blushes bright red. ]
