Dude, wanna hear something sad?? I'm totally thinking about doing band here...yeah, this band sucks!! But there are some really cool people in it and it's not anything you have to get all stressed out about, so in that respect it's cool...I think you should totally do it! shawn, good writing is relative. i think henry james sucks ass. still, i have been made to read three of his works. just write for yourself. that is what it is all about. i have a c in english right now because the first essay i turned into my nazi prof was just not good enough for her nazis standards. my religion prof responded to a piece of my research paper by writing "carrie, this is not good english at all" but you know what... who cares. when i get a chance to release all that chaos reeling in my head, i am really writing. when i spit out a sentence and it declares perfectly what fills my mind, then i have written. shawn, you don't have to be thoughtful and profound because you already are. write for yourself. it will come.

She's right man. Come on just because your professor says it isn't good, doesn't mean it isn't. It just means the prof didn't like it. Who cares what the prof says anyway? i mean my prof loved my first paper, and after that free-writing fiasco... thought i was a genius and i turned in my last paper she thought it sucked. So what the hell do they know. i've read your writing. I think its fantastic because you put what you actually think into your writing. Teachers aren't used to students telling them what they think, they are used to them spewing the same info right back to them.
