it finally hit my relatives, and really got to my parents, how things have changed within the family (immediate + relatives). As far back as I can remember, the holdiay gatherin was constant. I've noticed the change in christmas parties also. This year the cousins came back though, with the boyfriends. It was nice. Your one-man party makes me reminiscent.

Not many of my cousins come back with their boyfriends or girlfriends, because if they do, the family takes it very seriously. Those that have brought a boy or a girl end up gettin married to them. Which makes me wonder if I'll ever bring a girl over to them...yikes, i don't want to get married anytime soon though.

Anyways, we never did go to the movies. I owe you a movie date.

I guess it's the same with my cousins. i can't imagine bringing a guy to meet my family, partly because I'm just not that close to them and I'm really reserved about that stuff and partly because I'd have to fly him to new york and I'm cheap.
