While I do agree with you, the philosophy of the rant gets a little too close to "if you dress like that you deserve to be raped" kind of stuff which makes my brain melt.
But yes, the other week a girl in one of my classes sat down and her entire thong stuck out. I think she crocheted it herself? It was doily-tastic? I was confused...
I did think about that as I was writing this rant, but that's not at all what I mean. Obviously, I don't think that girls, even if they are running frolicking naked through the street, deserve to be raped. However, I do think that the way a person dresses affects perception of their personality. Most girls know this. The girls who bother me are the girls who play like they don't understand that wearing a v-neck cut down to their ribs is going to attract some attention. I'm not saying they have to sleep with anybody because they look like whores, but why do they have to be so angry that people even say hi?
Again, I agree with you. I just feel disdain towards men who hit on you when you don't want them to. And by this I don't mean a friendly approach or starting a random conversation but your basic verbal sexual harassment. Regardless of whether I'm wearing a hoodie or a skirt, I pretty much want them to get away from me.
But yeah. Girls like that drive me crazy too. It drives me crazier when men find them desirable. That whole plastic, fake tan, fake blonde highlights, boobs up to your face look. Ugh.
*glares at all the world's skanky women* Why can't women just be slightly modest? I don't get it. Although, I do have to admit to some hypocricy here: I dye my hair and wear clothes that I think look decent on me. But I don't think you could consider my style to be whore-esque. At least I hope not.
