Wedding Rant.

I've got some stress on me right now. Not just wedding-wise. I want to start taking pictures for money by next month, and I feel I still have alot to get used to on this damned camera; the state is taking too long to process Robert's paperwork, and he's now gone almost three months without a job while these people scratch their asses. At least someone is okay with what we chose to do. Maybe I'll just have you do damage control and smack people you catch bitching. Do it for $50?

*smirk*

Looks like the same open letter I wanted to send to our family members for our wedding since I wanted it to be dry. Unfortunately I seem to have lost this battle because Andrew is insisting on wine and a keg since his family is made up of a bunch of alkies.

Okay I'm go to play the Devil's Advocate, which I know you won't like, but this is how my mother explained it to me when I complained over Melissa's family making her have alcohol at her wedding. (when she wanted a dry one)

The wedding is technically for the guests that attend it, yeah I know that sounds disgusting, but according to wedding etiquette and traditions that's exactly what it is. The guests are supposed to be given awesome food, cake, and alcohol to offset their cost for the gift they give you. The better the reception, the better the gift they give you. Eh. I see what you're saying, but I also kind of figure that I can give them a good party without alcohol. I can tell them thanks without getting them drunk. I mean, it would be different if we were throwing a night wedding, but it's going to be during lunchtime. I don't think there's any need, y'know?

Anyway, you and I are having almost the same thing: 4 hours, everything in the same location. Just like I said, we're going to keep from the liquor part.

I completely agree with you darlin. I'm probably going to schedule our wedding to be in the late morning and serve lunch so that there's no need for alcohol. :)
