well, i only like really sultry, acoustic, non-rock, bluesy female vocalists (who are often either obscure indie or folk..) -- i'm not sure you like that --
but natasha borzilova's album cheap escape is really awesome :)

heyy, this is a kind of ancient post but have you ever listened to Coco Love Alcorn? She falls under the bluesy female vocalist category, except for when she does really funny things like rapping, and is divine. Her music probably isn't very available, but i'm quite sure she at least has a myspace.
