How did I miss this one on remix? It's gorgeous, and you're right to be proud of it. We saw so much of the elite being fish out of water, but the Quorum were often just pawns, featured when they were useful and forgotten the rest of the time. And here you've shown us that it wasn't just RDM's story-telling responsible -- that's how they really were, a patch on what used to be required, important to those below them but not to those above, lost at sea in their new responsibilities, never quite leaving their water wings behind.

Hey, pal! Thanks so much for this lovely comment.

There's this round little woman-of-color that sits on the Quorum -- we only get glimpses of her from time to time. I started to get thinking of her.

Yeah, the Quorum members are pretty much idiot tools, but as you say, they really were fish-out-of-water, which explains their incompetence. I wish I had thought to use the fish-out-of-water thing when I was writing this -- it would have been the perfect water metaphor to include!
