Good to hear from you friend! I'm so sorry you don't have power. But I'm kind of thrilled to hear about the kids' retro throwback to the entertainment of yore. I think we can all take a little bit of a cue from that, can we not?

I think I'm going to do NaNoWriMo. I really need to but need to get on it. Will you do it with me or are you just not inspired right now?

Hey!

Too bad about the power failure. :-( I've never experienced a blizzard power failure (or any kind of power failure, but what do you expect when you live in the Netherlands, ;-) ), but at least you have snow, and it seems to me that it makes things a bit cozier (inside the house, that is, hehe!).

Yes, first day of NaNo! I have to admit, I'm struggling, I've hardly written a word. But I do still hope that you'll enter this year. :-D

It's so nice to hear from you and I hope you get power back soon. I've always found power outages to be kind of fun for the first few hours, and then, not so much. I'm glad you can stay warm!

Eep! Sorry to hear you've been in the dark! Yikes! I would be going crazy, so I have great respect for your wee ones, making the best of things :D

Oh wow, The Road. Grim doesn't even begin to touch that one. Left me shaken for weeks after I read it.
