psst. i went to maui and kaui, and kaui is definitely something to look forward to. it's absolutely gorgeous and it rains like every 2 minutes, but it's warm rain. very very tropical though. i am super jealous.

What part of the year did you go to Kauai? KC told me that there are a lot of chickens on the island... reminded me how you told me about feeding them Safeway chicken when you went. Same place?

Well I doubt the ratio is going to change, certainly I'll find more people to like than I do now, I'll just have twice as many people that I don't like around... it's a pretty whiny and presumptuous thing to say but I have a feeling it's accurate anyway

i know ucla announces before the end of march and i'm guessing ucsd is the same way. i know what you mean about misguided militancy/ rebellious youth. it drives me nuts when people solicit their radical emotion as truth without solid facts to back them up with. it's different if they can support their shit, but a lot of people just get caught up in the idea. etc.

Exactly, and then someone who actually has good reasons for having some radical point of view gets drowned out by all of these irritating people who just want to jump on the 'alternative' activist bandwagon
