"What is it, Hound?" Spike asked, climbing over to look as well. "Is it another Autobot?" he asked.
"I don't think so," Hound mused. "I don't see an insignia anywhere -- Autobot or Decepticon." It had no driver, so it had to be a robot of some kind. Whether it was Cybertronian or not remained to be seen. He considered what to do -- the newcomer certainly didn't seem hostile, but.... "Better alert Prime anyway," he muttered. "Spike, go tell him. I'll see if I can talk to him."
"Right." Spike nodded and climbed down the backside of the cliffs, headed for the half-buried spaceship, while Hound made the transformation into a jeep and drove down for a closer look.
"Whoever you are, identify yourself," Hound called through his speakers. "Are you a friend, or an enemy?"

Something flared through KITT's CPU, a jumbled wealth of randomized information that flashed by too quickly even for the supercomputer to make sense of it. One might have called it emotion, but KITT was incapable of such a human trait. Still, from here, the angle was wrong for him to manage to scan which symbol they wore. If they were Decepticons...
Tires spun for just an instant on the fine layer of dust coating the surface of the hardpack before KITT gained enough purchase to back several feet from the military-green Army jeep that sped to the foot of the cliff with an ease and agility that would have given even him a "run for his money," as the saying went. And like him, the other vehicle had no ( ... )

"It's the Autobots!" Starscream cried. "What are they doing here?" Usually, those fools didn't arrive until after they'd attacked!
"Pay them no heed!" Megatron commanded. "Soundwave, Skywarp, Thundercracker, hold them off! Starscream, come with me! Our first priority is acquiring this plant's energy!"
"Not if I can help it," Optimus Prime declared, placing himself firmly in Megatron's path.
"You're a fool, Prime," Megatron snarled, bringing his cannon to bear against the Autobot leader, who let off a shot from the ray-pistol in his hand before dodging Megatron's blast.

Something hot and white flashed through KITT's processors in response to the voice of the red-and-white fighter jet, chaotic and blinding and terrible in its intensity. He'd not initially recognized the Decepticon in his vehicular form, but now that he compared elements of that plane to the form of the leader of the attack on the business building, he knew he had found his main opponent, the one who had fired the shot that killed all those people.
The one who had killed Michael.
He activated a laser scanner, one he thought the others should be able to sense, and pinged it, one after another, off of four of the Decepticons in rapid succession, starting with the red-and-white fighter jet. "That one, that one, him, and him," he called through his external speakers, boosting his volume with the megaphonic setting to be heard over the noise of joining combat. "Those are the ones who destroyed the building in downtown ( ... )

On the inside of the power plant, the human workers yelled, running for cover. Starscream glanced around -- no one had their eyes on him, and certainly not Optimus Prime. If he could steal Megatron's kill, then he could hold his defeat of Prime over the heads of all the other Decepticons. "He'll never see it coming," Starscream muttered to himself, aiming his ray gun with a smirk.

KITT sped at the trailer in Pursuit Mode, the one most programmed for high-speed maneuvering, hitting his turbo-jets to leap to its roof...and again just as he landed, powerful rocket thrusts catapulting him from the elevated surface to nose-plow into the back of the Decepticon's shoulder, knocking the villain off his feet. His fender took the impact without even a scratch, though some of the components behind it would need realignment after this . . . but at the moment, KITT didn't care. His wheels and chassis rested on Starscream's back, and he kicked over a system he'd never imagined he would use in any such manner.
"This one's for Michael!" he informed the downed robot firmly, his voice coming out - to anyone's hearing but his own - as a furious growl, and the Electronic Jamming System flooded the Decepticon with waves of powerful, component-scrambling energies. He ran the risk of depleting his power packs prematurely if he kept it up for too long - more than a moment or so, as he was spreading his efforts ( ... )

"KITT?" a familiar voice -- Ratchet -- said. "KITT, can you hear me? Do you remember anything?" This was the moment of truth -- it didn't look like his memory circuits had been erased, but this was an unfamiliar piece of technology.

"Ratchet?" he intoned hesitantly. He managed to bring another system to bear, scanners that could tell him about his surroundings. He was in the base ship. "What . . . happened . . . ?"

Another robot appeared, looming over Ratchet's shoulder. "Welcome back," Wheeljack said, tone communicating the smile that his covered face could not. "It's about time. I've got something I need to ask you about."

"Wheeljack?" he ventured, then turned his attention back to Ratchet. "I . . . well, I've certainly been better, but I suppose I can't really complain, all things considering. I'm sorry for worrying you. Wheeljack, what do you need to ask? And . . . how long was I off-line?" At another thought, he added, "What about the others? Did they make it back all right?"
(ooc: Did you get my email about them finding his full schematics in a hidden cubby under his dash? =3)
