P.S. You are so lucky for being a first-generation, you bastard. My uncle who just moved to Milan counts as a second-gen (my great grandfather was born in Poland) and is confident that he should be able to secure a Polish passport. Needless to say, I am terribly disappointed at being born one generation too late, but I would be thrilled to come visit. Yeah!

Don't mention it. While I was over there I got another of his 45s as well. It has this amazing track on it called "Vacaciones", which, luckily enough, made it onto my new mix.

In regards to Europe, I believe in most of those countries you're allowed to stay for up to 6 months without having to do anything special. Start saving your Benjamins.
