Did anyone do the Araucaria crossword last Saturday in which he made his announcement? I can't imagine anyone's saving last Saturday's Guardian crossword for enjoyment at a future date, but I shan't spoil it just in case - here's a link to an article that explains it.( And here's a trigger-warning behind a cut-tag. )

India! India was a vague happening that was going to happen vaguely "next year". It's impossible that it's a definite thing happening definitely this weekend. How can that be?

If I must accept the passing of time and vagueness however, then I will wish you a jaunty Bon Voyage and happy Kebab eating.

I like Blandings a lot, possibly more than Jeeves & Wooster even, but I am utterly in love with both Lord Emsworth and Galahad. Talk about grab-a-grandad, I am disgusting.
