Spectator Robin loved commenting on people's weird running fashion. "Bold choice!" I said to the man in the sunflower-print shorts. "Your gloves are like Mickey Mouse's!" to the guy with the spotless white gloves. "You are all wearing pink and you are all ladies!" to a group of women doing the walking marathon together.
Watching around the 10 mile mark on the South Side, I saw walkers (who start an hour early), the leaders (the guy who won was not the leader when he passed me, but very close), up through the 8 minute pace group (which was so dense that we couldn't cross the street for like, ten minutes). In the early set of runners, I didn't see too many hot shirtless men. The elite runners mostly wore jerseys.
There was one man in particular who was attractive, had longish hair, no shirt, and short shorts. Vicki also noticed him at Baum Blvd. Spectator Robin shouted to him, "You may feel cold, but you're looking hot!" which made Collin's dad stare at me with popped eyebrows.
