i woke up at 7AM on a weekend zzz. i think my body clock is tuned to that time already. sleep at 10pm, wake up at 6am. HAI. i can foresee my body clock going haywire when shift work starts but i hope my menses remain regular can already WAHAHAHAHA OMG.
ok commercial break. let's talk about melbourne for a bit!
let's just say i'll never go back to melbourne again as a tourist HAHA its so city like (& boring HAHAHA but yet quirky sometimes HAHA contradicting myself again)....... and nothing interesting there to see really. Queen Victoria market is so boring as well the only thing i like about it is SUPRE hahahaha ok maybe i go during the wrong time and they dont have crazy sales (when i mean crazy it's really crazy like AUD2 for a pair of shorts!) touristy areas are those that requires driving out of melbourne.. like Great Ocean Road and Philips Island zzz. but yeah i think it's a great place to live, would be better if you can drive! everything would be so much more convenient. my family is persuading me to go there to further my studies like DIE DIE also want me to go there and study like helloooo what is their problem i dont really want to study yet ok i dont like to study la.
but one thing is i really like their car plates! they have the little tagline below their car numbers thingy, Victoria- The Place To Be hahah so cute right. and they have alot alot alot of food like singapore too! when i was there i ate so many different types of cuisine, Thai, Jap- Korean, Jap fusion, Italian, Singapore/Malaysia, and home cooked hahaha ok home cooked is not a cuisine LOL. but it was really nice having home cooked food in a foreign land haha i love my brother's housemates and friends! :) what else.. oh yeah their churches, love the buildings! like those in Europe!
ok commericial break end.
went for church service yesterday and it was awesome! i go back there every week (or at least try to) because the preachings are always very very inspiring (and the people are mega awesomeeeee!).. and yesterday's one felt so close to heart. Pastor How was preaching about men.. how men should feel secure about themselves and fight for themselves. how they should break free from being lame (be it relationally crippled, finacially crippled, emotionally crippled etc.) and not let things be how it is and leave it to be, but to make things happen and be the change that they want to be.
how women and men are different when it comes to conversations, men's talk are always superficial and shallow, on the surface and they dont like to talk deep, whereas women's ones are always heart to hearts which includes feelings and emotions. he said it's because men do not want to feel vulnerable and transparent, but instead want to put on a 'macho' front which i so totally agree. HAHA. men should get together and connect and engage, not on the surface but deep within the hearts as well.
male by birth, man by choice.
commericial break again!
so one fine day Joe (an amazing Aussie who spent a year off travelling around the globe!) brought cute french chick (her name is Solene btw) and I to St Kilda's park for a picnic to enjoy the good weather! it was rather cold the first week i was there.. like 10 degrees and the best thing is i brought all the wrong clothes so i had nothing much to keep me warm and i eventually fell sick FML which pretty much ruined my whole vacation.. so anyway the people sun tan in the park as well.. half naked.. bikinis.. pretty much enjoying the weather and life. haha.
one thing i like about the restaurants in melbourne is that they leave a big glass/bottle of water on every table.. so that the waiters do not have to go to every table to refill customers' glasses/ cups everytime.. good idea right! i think singapore should do that too! less trouble for the wait staff heh heh..
so Jodie brought me to this weird museum where you can buy dead animals (preserved la of coz!) and bring them home for display purposes.. there are even kangaroos and polar bears (i think, life sized somemore) that you can buy home ok. will post pictures of those next time! its quite scary.. who would wanna buy them home seriously i think i'll have nightmares every night hahaha.
ok back to serious stuff. WORK. what elseeeee, my life revolves around it zzz.
2 weeks into the job and i'm having lots of fun! i like how they plan and organize trainings for all of us to prepare us all for the opening. i dont have anything to grumble about work just yet. haha. just finished OPERA training (yes OPERA!!!!!!!) and its only 1 of the systems that we have to learn.. still have 5 more systems to go!!!!zzz. i love the work culture, its amazing! if anyone wants to work in a hotel please come to Resort World Sentosa hotels ok haha the hotel managers are damn (Y)(Y)(Y) to the max!
i really love working in operations because its not office hours but shifts. i love doing shifts! i dont know why. very different from some of my friends.. they would rather work office hours and not irregular hours haha. i think one reason is because the trains and buses are very crowded during office hours which is really annoying! especially when people have to miss 1 or 2 trains before hopping onto it. another thing about operations is that you definitely have to work during festive seasons.. which is good. then i dont have to fight for space with the crowds at Orchard Road or Clarke Quay. HAHA. or worry about not getting invited to parties HAHAHAHA just kiddingggg..
festive seasons like Christmas are just another reason for gatherings, but why wait until all these holidays then gather with your friends/family right. i can meet up with them anytime.. so all these public holidays dont really mean anything to me hahaha. i'm pretty much of a loner anyway.. i'm contented being alone & i hate big groups. small and cozy, my kind of thing! :D i like to watch people enjoy their holidays.. whereas i'm slogging my guts out haha. it has always been the case coz I usually work during public holidays during my Haagen Dazs days.. work can be fun and enjyable too even when you're working your ass off and not out there celebrating.. right guys?! and my Chinese New Year is burnt, i cant go back to Muar already.. hai. first CNY in Singapore hahaha! but friends.. please invite me to your house so that i can still get some angpowss hahahah!!!!!
but there is one thing that i gotta learn though, and that is to be serious during work HAHAHA. like.. seriously. :/
having a full time job means committment and responsibility.. i can't travel as and when i want. hai. such a bigggg difference from my previous lifestyle :( i kinda miss it.. being in control of my time and schedules.. haha. cant wait for march/april before i can apply for leave (i foresee alot of us applying for leave!) and find myself in another country again..
ok i think i talk alot today already, gonan chiong my survivor nowwwwwww! hahaha! so happy to have found the playlist in youtube :D:D:D
