Even with all the weird things that have been going on and the permanent reminder that I can't leave this place, I'm starting to feel like I'm starting to get used to being here.

And I'm not sure I like that feeling.

Yes, that's true. But when you realize you've been calling some place 'home' when your actual home is somewhere else, it gets a little depressing.
