Your Name/what you go by: Metin

AIM/E-mail/contact info - some way of reaching you: alcatrazmetin@yahoo.com // AIM- SHEIK253

Your character's name: Thurston, Renton

Series your character's from: Eureka 7

Background info on your character:
So. Picture this. You're a 14-year-old boy who has no motivation what-so-ever, but to ride on flying boards and become like your childhood hero on a magazine. And just to twist the knife, your father's 'dead', your sister's 'gone' and you live with your grandfather who's king of the junkyard-- a.k.a Mechanic. This is the life of Renton Thurston, who's life sucks as he states in the series over and over again.

At least until this weird alien chica with her hooj robot comes flying into his house. A sane person would've pressed for charges. Renton is not really the sharpest wrench in the toolbox. He falls in love with her. Sob. The girl's name is Eureka. The robot-a.k.a LFO is called the Nirvash typeZERO. And that's where Gekkostate comes in. A group of rebels who are fighting against the military, who also come flying into Renton's yard. Renton's grandfather gives him the balls and the equipment to go out there and deliver the Amita Drive to the typeZERO. Which he eventually delivers in mid-air combat. In true nature similar to Evangelion, the typeZERO's true nature is unleashed as the "Seventh Swell".

Renton's life goes from one extreme to another when he's invited to join the Gekkostate. His childhood dream realized at last!! But the real world happens to be cruel. And Renton finds himself going from delivery boy to bus boy, as he performs odd jobs and even becomes the ass of the everyone's jokes. However, the crew actually look up to Renton in their own way. You know how newbies deal in a group. But Renton's radar is all set on Eureka. Ahhhh, a fool in love. But things get complicated later on when the military attacks the Gekko once again. In middle of the battle/acid trip, Renton meets up with Eureka's psycho twin, Anemone. Compared to Eureka, she's more MUY LOCO than our drywall heroine. Just because of the fact that she wants to eat him up. And also, Renton befriends her bitch solider boy, Dominic. A guy who's willing to brave any battleground for the girl he loves. No wonder these two get along, eh? They even go on an adventure.

And there's more to this story. Such as, Eureka gets into deep shit involving bubble gum and bad hair days, Renton learning about the consequences of war and a pair named Charles and Ray who do their best to give Renton their share of trauma and experiences on his road to becoming a man. That's just the first half of the series. The second half of the series has more "WAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR", more "B'AWWWWWWWWWWW" and more "idk my gf Eureka???" or "2 + 2 = EUREKA IN MAH PANTS!?"

While Renton proves to be dorky and outgoing, he sometimes jumps to conclusions or simply doesn't understand what's going on around him. Describing him would be like describing any other kid who wants to make good of himself in the eyes of others. That's the thing about the kid though. You can punch him, you can kick him, you can talk crap about him all you want, but he'll ENDURE and become a better person from those experiences. When push comes to shove, he can definitely follow his instincts and pull himself out of a bad situation. But all in all, he's one kid that shines above all other underdogs.

Sample Post:
A-amazing! For a monkey riding on a wooden board, you sure catch on quickly! Even without using trapar, you managed to pull off one of the best Roundhouse Drop-Turns I've ever seen! It doesn't make sense, but it's so cool! We could totally have a contest to see who's the best, but I need to find my friends right now! Should I even show a photo to a monkey? Well, maybe it's best to keep my options open!

Eh... See, look here! These are my shipmates! Holland, Talho, Doggie Bro, Hilda, Matthieu, Stoner, Hap, Jobs, Woz, Mischa, Gidget, and Gonzy! We're pretty big, aren't we? And, oh right! These kids here are important too! And Eureka! She's super important! Maybe you can help me find them, okay? It'll be really fun to have a traveling partner... thought you may not quite understand personal space-- Please don't touch my bag! They could be scattered around here, I think... Or maybe they're at the ship and waiting for me. I hope I'm not worrying them too much.

B-but there’s always a bright side! I remember one of my magazines saying that my luck was going to be really good today and then-Oh? What are you doing, little guy? Making a list of things to do? So smart….! I’m impressed! I can even make out what you’re writing in the dirt there! Ah. . . “Find the scales of a Mermaid?” “Collect 1000 bananas?” “Take the tail of a Dingo?” And... This is a really long list! That sounds impossible for a little monkey to do all alone.

Or… Oh, hey! I see where this is going! Haha! Sorry, but I don’t have time to fool around with you anymore, I gotta go! Now, where did I put that picture-Ack! That’s… He robbed me… I can’t believe an animal robbed me-! F-fine! I understand! If I do all of this, you’ll help me find these people, okay?

Look at yourself, Renton Thurston…! You’re taking orders from a monkey… Haha… This is the worst!

A list of things your character might have on them after they got snatched up and put on this island:
- Ref Board
- Tools
- That weird suit from Episode 7 (lol)
- Magazines?!
