ATTN: Apartmentmates!

Aug 29, 2005 13:31

Hey, so the beginning of the school year is bearing down on us, and we have yet to decide how to furnish our new apartment. I figure we'll need stuff like pots and pans and other such cooking utensils the most, because we can always steal plates, cups, silverware, etc from Ventanas ( Read more... )

I believe we were all going to bring a piece of artwork to put up in the common room. I guess other decorations are free-for-all. I have a kit thingie that has lots of kitchen utensils. We just need a strainer. I don't have one of those. I was just thinking that we could bring whatever we have, take back what isn't needed, and bring/go shopping for what is. I have to bring my car (it's my only way down here), and I'd never want to impose the parking permit on others. Gas... meh. Depends on how often taxi services are rendered. I'd call/email Housing Services to see when we can move in. Depending on how things are going at home, I might move in later on in Welcome Week. I know that we definitely have to check in by Wednesday of that week.

How was your birthday, kitten?

Been reading waaaay too much Batman

Ok, so I called the ERC ResLife office and they said that Move-in Day for us was Sunday, Sept 18. Which is stupid. Whose idea was it to only give us one freaking day to move in before classes???

But anyway. This kitchen kit sounds intreguing! It comes with pots and pans and all variety of stirring impliments? And knives? Sharp, pointy knives? Yesssss! And I can bring a strainer. For whatever reason we have like twelve of them.

BTW gas ranges from really expensive (about $2.89 in PB) to obscenely expensive ($2.99 at the station near Ralphs), and that is for regular. It hurts my empty pocket to think of it.

My b-day was totally awesome! I went to the Buddhist Temple (where they serve delicious cheap Thai food every Sunday) and then to the flea market! Did you call me kitten? Has this something to do with Batman?
