[Robert's outside for once! Mostly because being exothermic and having a sudden desire to go into bodies of water are good reasons to do so. Even so, he's still hermit-ish thanks to social phobia (which is a bit exacerbated as a turtle) and is mostly looking down - which is why he notices the tiny, scuttling crab.

At first he doesn't hear Sayo's voice - but honestly, as an astrobiologist, Robert is very observant, and eventually he catches the soft strains of a panicking tone. Most crabs are incapable of vocalization, but...]

Ah, excuse me there... Would you happen to need some assistance? [He stoops, carefully, and offers his green, leathery, two-fingered hand as a platform. It's preferable to stepping on the cute little crab, at least.]

[... Oh! You're familiar! She's seen turtle-people walking around, though she hasn't quite learned what a turtle even is. But THIS ISN'T IMPORTANT--!]

Oh, yes please! I'd be very grateful!

[Pardon her, she's not much for height, and she's trying her damnedest to even get on his hand.]

[Extremely gently, extremely carefully, Robert fixes the two giant green fingers of his right hand around Sayo's little thorax and deposits her gently in the palm of his other hand.

Then he lifts that hand up to his face.

He recognizes Sayo's voice, now that she's closer to his tympanic membranes.] ... Ah, I know you... well, not as a crab, obviously.

I am Professor Robert Alexander Hastings, if you... do not remember. [He remembers Sayo's memory problems, and while they may not be affecting her at the moment, he figures they might have been enough to affect her before then.]

Though I am usually a human, not a turtle; just like you are not usually a crab. Albeit you are a very beautiful specimen of crab, if I may say so. [He is completely serious when he says this. To his astrobiologist mind, all life is beautiful.]

[Unfortunately, his name does come up a blank.]

O-oh, well, thank you!

... Is that the name of what I am? A... 'crab'?

[If Crabsayo happens to go near the shore of the ocean, she may run into Ami taking a swim!

...in very cold water

...that humans shouldn't enjoy as much as she seems to.

...and was that a mermaid tail splashing behind her? Yep!]

Are you alright?! Come over this way.

[Bah, we'll just say she's around the ocean for the hell of meeting a mermaided Ami, right? Give her a moment to scurry sideways to you.]

Ami-chan! Is that you?!

It's me, but, who is this?

[She should really be more shocked at a talking crab, but then... ninja turtles. And Luceti.]

It's Sayo, Ami-chan!

I... haven't been myself, lately.

[a very worried-looking ball of light is descending to talk to you]

It's all right! This is an experiment.

I certainly was hoping so, th-though I'm more concerned with how I'm going to get home!

[She scurries back and forth, not wanting to keep still in the midst of her new body.]

You seem to be able to walk.

... It's quite a walk, unfortunately.

[I mean, I'm like half the size of a palm.]

B-but if I keep to corners, I think I can make it!

... though I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to open the door...
