This is really hard for me. I HATE ROACHES! :( Like an undying burning passion of hatred and fear of them.

But the body type looks like it's a German roach. They are attracted by food and water sources, and can make you very ill if you let them hang around. You really don't want these guys (or ANY ROACH OMG) in your home.

Thank you, I'll try to get rid of them quickly. Can't believe I fell for the old "cute = harmless" trick.

Make sure to tell your land lords that it's a brown-banded. The type of roach that it is changes how a person should approach dealing with them. :) Good luck!

Where are you from? That's what they're called where I'm from, too.

This is undoubtedly the Brown-Banded Cockroach - see the photo below:-

This is something you really need to get rid of, and quickly !! I direct you to this info page, and I'll also just underline the fact that this article says if you see just one, you may have up to 200 more around the house - frightening stuff !!

Oh wow, you managed to find a really cool chart. I was looking for it before I started getting that itchy feeling.

Well, god damn it. I really only see one at a time in my room, but there are a lot more around in my building, so I don't even want to think how many we're talking about here.
Thanks for the info; I'll contact the administration and have them get exterminators do deal with them, since fixing up only my room won't change things.
