if'n you ever manage to actually write this stuff down and send it out to anywheres, my advice is to do a self-published production that you 'accidentally leave' in all kinds of book-hocking places... see if anyone buys 'em... and maybe reap the rewards of sitting across from some guy one day on the subway train who happens to be perusing your little publication.

i'm pretty sure he's referring to the ill-fated drug that has taken so many of our dear departed by the hand down into the lowest trenches of society. the crack, lori, is a metaphor for getting the shit taken out of your sails at the tender age of 21.
