i didn't know anybody either. not a single person. you make superficial friends really fast (ie your roommate, other friends of opportunity) but at least you have someone to walk to class with and get lunch with, and then you'll meet some real friends after a while.

and i didn't do anything with my chance to start over. i guess i was satisfied already, hah

Thats the thing with me though, when I meet new people my mind just shuts off and I can't think of one thing to say, I pretty much end at "hey, what's up?"
