Why do some people just love to put down other colleges? It's one thing if it's a rivalry [ex: UM/MSU] and the person doing it is a student at one of those schools because jokes are usually made in the context of that rivalry. But to compare two schools, neither of which the person doing the comparing is enrolled at, is absolutely annoying. ( Read more... )

tupid/ugly/snotty/[insert insult]...thats MSU students for ya...haha I am just kidding. Sounds like someone was trying to get under your skin and piss you off I think you should ignore them. Oh yeah I was pretty happy that MSU beat Wis. Go green! that was awesome. very well played game.

We exchanged some words over it for a while but then they just kept going on for quite a while to other people who aren't even enrolled at MSU, which is what made me angry. That's when I realiized they weren't doing it to get under my skin.
They were trying to intelligently discuss why MSU is a terrible school and all the students are stupid.

My cuz got in this big debate with me once because I told him that I was going to go to U of M and he started to tell me why it was a bad idea and how he could get a better job over me any day because he went to George Town. I tried to explain to him that I didn't care and he kept going, it really started to get on my nerves I wanted to tell him to shut the hell up but we were at my grandparents christmas party. He was degrading Michigan education and trying to explain to me how stupid it is. I didn't really care about his opinion because I was going to do what I wanted to. I started to be a smart ass and it really pissed him off. I thought it was really funny because he was getting pissed cause I was being sarcastic. It was great so next time use sarcasm to piss them off ( ... )

I should have slugged the guy. Just for fun. I'm sure I would have felt better. Hah jk

I'm interested to see how MSU will play once Smith has a team full of his own recruits. He's done a lot with someone elses vision and someone elses team.
