[BZZZZZZT.]

...

Alright Discedo, time for a test! Let's find the value of t at which U = 0. Either you'll off each other in attempt to survive or you'll let your morals become the catalyst of your subtraction.

you people and your morals, such a packrat, food shortage, not as bad as it sounds for once, where's your beauty

Yep, he's pretty much saying everybody is going to die. Cheery guy he is. :| revolver_christ February 5 2010, 22:39:50 UTC
I suppose a half of the city will go for either argument. Those who are weak will cling to the strong as parasites, draining resources from them until both have nothing left to them and the strong perish. The weak, without protection, will either starve or be smote by those willing to do them harm in order to survive. Those who strike out against the weak in favor of surviving will undoubtedly be put down by the strong, whose morals force them to do so. Those who stay alone will toil away until their own resources disappear, and they as well die.

It will be such a beautiful thing to watch. Amusing, if nothing more.

fffft. Worst part is he approves. whatthefactor February 5 2010, 23:03:59 UTC
[He snickers.]

Amusing at first. But then it becomes a headache. If they're refactored into the city 24 hours later as typical, then the cycle starts all over again. If not... then it truly will be a work of beauty.

They could be death buds, if Takaya understood half of Sho's math talk. revolver_christ February 5 2010, 23:21:11 UTC
There are only so many things the scientists may take from us. No doubt one day our tentative immortality will go as well. This city will not last a day afterwards.

Sho would probably talk at him about death anyway, l-lol, since he's odd like that. whatthefactor February 5 2010, 23:50:56 UTC
It'd be about time if they did. Some of the worthless morons have been revived 1(x) too many.

Most species, especially mammals, don't turn to cannibalism even when starvation sets in.

Yeah, I read a National Geographic or two in my day.

Never said it was cannibalism.

Either-or, hmm? Not one for leaving much leeway, are you?

Oh there are other possible solutions, those two are just the most likely.

As much as I know we'd all love to see that happen... it won't.

It might to an extent, but if the scientists decide to reincarnate those who are moronic to get themselves off, it's |pointless|.

Of course they're going to revive them; I mean, have they ever stopped reviving people before?

They have.

... Damn, I know I've known you for too long when I could understand that.

It's not that bad, yet. I've dealt with worse, and we still have sources of water. Dehydration always comes faster than dehydration.

going to assume dehydration wasn't meant twice. :o whatthefactor February 6 2010, 02:40:12 UTC
[He laughs.]

But the key variable in your equation is yet. Give it 2 weeks... a month, it'll change.

XDDD Yes. I meant Starvation. I must've read what i was typing as I typed it, so I typed what I read foxtamer February 6 2010, 02:49:52 UTC
This is true. They said it'd get better in a week, though. ... not that we have any logical reason to believe them.

Doesn't make sense to kill off your lab rats, though, until you're done with the experiment.
