First, and infinitely important: it makes a statement. Second, it serves a physical function. Not only is it calculated to perfection, but 100% stability. Sitting on top of it, I can see a majority of the district.

I suppose that is a distinct advantage to have over the city. [He is definitely referring to the second point.] Height is useful.
