When the vending machine comes crashing through his wall, it clips the back of his shoulder hard, shoving him roughly onto the floor. A rude awakening, indeed. Thankfully the machine itself tumbles and comes to a stop as it impacts with his door hard enough to knock it off all but one hinge, avoiding another impact with Joshua altogether. The broken glass and shattered brick on the floor, though, are not the most comfortable things to lay on.
For a moment, the only thing in Joshua's mind is pain. He doesn't scream or cry out, still somewhat stunned from the blow, but his shoulder is on fire. He can't move his left arm at all.]
