[Clear night. Most nights in Discedo are, right now; he's not expecting that to last.
Not having bothered to answer Minamimoto's whinging over the network, Mello's taking all those stairs for the umpteenth time in as many days; he's pretty fit, so he arrives only somewhat winded.
It's chilly on the roof, but it's got a good view and few places to hide. He shrugs further into his jacket when he steps out, but raises his head to look for the mathematician, whichever shadow he and his outfit have managed to get lost in.]
No rewards without risk. [Something to keep in mind, if it ever comes up. He's not banking on it, but hell if it wouldn't be convenient.
Mello just levels Sho with a look after that last statement, faintly mocking.]
Let's backpedal, then, since that's the way you roll. How are you planning on learning more? Obviously, hollering all over the network got you such great results this last time.
COMMENTLOG.whatthefactorOctober 31 2008, 21:42:54 UTC
[Sho snickers. Did he just say "how you roll"?]
Heh, obviously not; I am willing to admit that communication is not my zetta strongest factor. But there are other methods than just communication. The information will derive from my own findings.
[That's enough to deserve an outright roll of the eyes.]
Cut the bullshit, Minamimoto. I'm not asking for your pretty mathematicizations of everything. I'm asking whether you have any concrete plan of action further than getting your chip out and trying to go to Accido. Crawling in the sewers? Sniffing around on the street? Making friends with the forest monsters?
Or are you planning to sit here on your ass spouting 'zetta's all fucking day and hoping the scientists hand out some solutions for you?
COMMENTLOG.whatthefactorOctober 31 2008, 22:46:42 UTC
[Mello has one point, his mathematicization of everything is a work of fucking beauty.
He smirks.]
Zetta persistent, aren't you? Very well. I had planned on attempting to refine some of my friends--as they would attack anyone, scientists included--however, I do in fact revert to my taboo form, that will be impossible. Instead, yes, When I do go to Accido, I intend to search for any remaining explosives. If there are no explosives, then I will return to Discedo and begin to search the sewers, the subway, and the hospital. If none of those yield any results, then no, I do not have any plans. I have sat on my ass long enough.
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with saying zetta.
[Mello is indeed nothing if not persistent. It's the same stubborn streak that kept him dogging Near's heels all those years, and it's the same one that keeps him after the scientists now.]
By 'your friends', you mean... what? Noise? Monsters?
[He approves, tacitly, of Minamimoto's priorities. Start with the more focused searches, then widen the scope... searching through Discedo is likely to take even longer than finding a way over the mountains, if what he's seen of the sewers so far is any indication.]
And what do you intend to do if you do find those explosives?
[Considering that last little bit of petulance doesn't even deserve a reply.]
[He has to suppress a snicker at what Minamimoto's just unwittingly revealed. Well, it's no surprise; he's an antisocial nutcase here, too, from what Mello's seen so far.
He fixes said nutcase with a level stare.]
I'm sure you've thought out at least a couple of scenarios. Let's hear 'em.

[Sho was no roaring socialite; he'd gladly admit that much. Back home especially, people were of little to zero use to him.]
I have. If it's only bombs, then I guess I'll have to find the means to transport them for detonation ... if there is zero room for negotiations of course. I find missiles in the set, I will have to see if the zetta computers or whatever is used to fire the missiles are still operational. If there are other explosives accompanied with said bombs or if there are no bombs but just explosives--for example, grenades--I will add those to my inventory for later use. Research is a zetta important variable in this equation; I'll look through the libraries 4 any information ... if I don't find any, then I suppose I could wing it.
COMMENTLOG.whatthefactorNovember 7 2008, 02:21:56 UTC
Of course not, considering there aren't many variables here to work with.
[Some people may call it arrogance, but Sho likes to think of it as self confidence. Why should he be ashamed of his superior intellect, strategies, and good looks?
-is a "duh" sort of tone.] That should be zetta obvious based on what I've told you, but if I must simplify the equation... I'd try to gain power from said negotiations.
I'm not asking you to simplify the equation, Minamimoto--I'm asking you to derive it. [In the same "are you stupid or just concussed" tone.]
"Power". Exactly what permutations of power, over and from whom, and how do you plan to maintain said power? Feel free to answer to the best of your abilities.

[Sho internally groans; always the details. Why couldn't Mello just fucking stupid like the rest of the 000s here? ... Actually, he doesn't want to deal with any more stupidity, he was just ... not finished planning that part yet.]
From the scientists over Disceodo and plan to maintain this power by eradicating all threats. Of course this is more of a zetta long term goal. It is merely one of the many postulates that are will help me come to my desired solution. The probability of this plan actually working is < 5%, but that 5% makes it all the more exciting,

... Depends on the situation, of course.

[There's really only one clause of Minamimoto's lengthy ramblings that's piqued his interest.]
And what would you be negotiating for?
