[Public Audio]

I want everyone to listen to me, very carefully.

I know this seems swell and wonderful and exciting, but -

[Ugh ugh ugh. Not again. Urgently, she continues:]Get to the beach. Get to the beach and back on the boat as quickly as possible. Don't stop to pet the dinosaurs. Don't try to observe their behavior or take photos or ride ( Read more... )

So you're experienced with these creatures.

More so than most.

My weapons seem to be holding out. But the dilophosaur did spit at us. [He might have punched it in the face when it fanned at him. Might have. ...Defensive reflex.]

...Seemed pretty small, actually.

It might have been a juvenile. The larger ones get up to ten feet in length.

Just ten feet? [Wait, that's... inconsistent.]

....Huh. Well... Anyway, so far so good. If we're within shouting range of someone in trouble we'll try to get to them and help them out.

But there's no evidence that the Compsognathus were pack animals. It's highly unusual for reptiles, and all fossils found thus far have been of solitary specimens. This doesn't make sense. [BAWW WHY DOES THIS PORT NOT MESH UP WITH SSSSCIENCE.]

I'm only telling people what I've observed. They travel in packs. Scavengers, mostly, picking off the injured and weak.

[Is that dung? Herbivore dung. Please be herbivore dung.]

[Rex is so giving that dung a wide berth. He may be filthy from the port, but he's still finicky.]

There go my plans of hoping to observe one up close. If I'd known they were venomous pack hunters... [Pause.] I may have given O'Brien some misinformation. [...OH WELL.]

[Snort.]

What did you tell him? Can't be any worse than what I did. He's probably collecting rocks to stone Una to death if she so much as breaks a sweat.

If the raptors decide to run instead, is that cool?

[Typically, he's not the sort to be smug, but it's nice to be on a team that kicks ass again.]

[...All right, Luke. Sarah finds you funny and somewhat impressive.]

I think my party ought to meet up with yours. It'd be nice to see them running away for once.

More the merrier as far as I'm concerned. No idea where you guys are though. Right now, we're working on getting around one of the fences, then we'll be heading for the beach.

We're following a river. Probably not the best idea, considering it's a source of water, but I'd rather take my chances and make it to the beach than wander around aimlessly in the jungle.

Oh yeah! We ran into the ones that hunt in packs! I'm thinking we should have cooked them when we were done. I'm kind of hungry.
