open ][ she had her feet on the ground, and nobody pushed her around

After her time with Sophie's little Robin Hood team, Tara finds herself with the need to lay low for awhile and get some time for herself. The fact that there are people out there, more so than usual, that might want to grab her up just helps the decision even more ( Read more... )

The bar she happens to walk into is quiet, clean and a little classy. It's a hole in the wall but one you could take your date to and make a good impression ( ... )

Well it's clear why Tara chose this. She likes class. She likes class a lot. And she's excellent at making herself look like the classiest woman in a room.

Tara glances around a bit when she first sits. It's always good to get a bit of a survey of any room she is in. Her eyes fall over the patrons there, then settle on the people behind the bar. She doesn't mind waiting for one of them to come to her, or even better to lure someone else over to buy her a drink. She has time.

She does notice the woman. She notices everyone. She catches the woman watching her, evaluating, and she waits to see where that evaluation gets them. She can tell that there's something timid about her, and she's going to tuck that away in her head.

When she finally comes over and speaks, Tara just smiles. There's nothing wrong with being friendly and a bit charming. "That depends. How are your martinis?"

She can be a martini woman tonight. That could be fun.

The other patrons are a mixture really. No one looks too shabby but there are the young and old alike. Some of the study her when she walks in, there are even a few arched brows at her presence, but no one says anything directly to her.

In the corner, a young girl with short, dark hair giggles but she doesn't say anything directly.

Death looks quite cheerful at the suggestion. "Oh, I think we can create something to your liking. We're excellent at the classics."

it's true, they are. Verity has an old soul and when she was created, she got a taste for all things gone. She can make more common drinks, things that have come up in this century, but she's far better at the older things.

If you tell me your name," she adds with a slight grin. "The first one can be on the house."

And this only makes Tara grin a little more. She likes attention, and she likes free drinks. If she goes somewhere and doesn't get someone to buy her a drink, she's doing something wrong. That's the thing with reading people and getting them to do what you want, it's hard to turn off. Frankly, she doesn't want to. There's something in it, controlling. She needs all the control she can get.

Her brows go up a bit and she nods, that grin in place. "I can't turn that down, can I? My name's Delia, and I like the apple ones."

No, that isn't her name, but it's rare she gives her real name so easily.

Fiona's in Boston on explosive business of the literal kind. Life with Michael's gotten tedious and to teach him a lesson she's packed up her things and left for the weekend. The weekend only because she knows he will call and ask her to come back. She only hopes there's begging involved.

Boston isn't like Miami. The bar she finds herself in is nice. She sits on a stool and stirs her Bloody Mary with her straw. It's not the same as sitting at the cafe in Miami with Sam and his ridiculous shirts and Michael.

it is, I can make it work ;) whatwe_imagine August 27 2011, 00:12:29 UTC
So Tara hasn't left Boston just yet. She's got one thing to do.

She finds her way to the bar where she's supposed to meet Fiona and glances around quickly. It doesn't take long for her eyes to land on the woman, and she goes over, not even pausing to sit.

"Change of plans," she says, without the bother of a hello. "We're going on a little vacation somewhere."

She needs to get out of Boston, and she was looking forward to a girls weekend, so she isn't going to blow Fiona off. Instead she's taking Fiona with her. Wherever it is she's going.

{ooc: That work for you? xD }

Fiona perks up, looking up at Tara with surprise. "Oh? Is that so?" She couldn't help but feel excitement at the prospect of a vacation. Fiona's idea of a vacation wasn't the usual type, and even if it wasn't her kind of vacation, she needed a break from being Fiona Glenanne. "Where are we going?"

Tara considers the question for a moment, then raises her shoulders in a slight shrug. "I haven't figured it out yet. We could go just about anywhere though. Is there somewhere you've always wanted to go?"

Her smile widens, bright from ear to ear. She knows how to win a person over. "Anywhere you want to go, it's up to you."
