killing yourself to live is a book by chuck klosterman who is a writer for spin magazine. the basic premise of the book is that klosterman is travelling around the united states, visiting the sites of famous deaths in rock and roll, and along the way he comes to all of these conclusions about his own life. it's pretty comically written but very astute in observations about life and people and music and cult followings.

seriously, check it out. probably one of my favorite books of all time.
