[Most people, when looking at their communicator, will see nothing but a frowning face. Those who know the Gundam Pilot, however, will see somebody who is extremely troubled (despite the fact that he is trying to cover his emotions as best he can). He clears his throat, adjusting his glasses a bit.]Is it common for an individual to return to ( Read more... )

[Though Barnaby hasn't known Tieria for very long, he still feels like he ought to try to reassure him. Barnaby himself had been in a similar position only weeks earlier.]

Unfortunately I don't have enough information to say whether or not it's common, but I know for a fact it's happened before.

[...]

I'm sorry your colleague is gone, in any case.

[Tieria didn't expect Barnaby Brooks Jr. to respond, but he is a little bit relieved that the first person to answer his question was not a) somebody he had no prior knowledge of or b) Regene Regetta.]

And if they're deceased?

[...Deceased before arriving here? Could Demeleier really bring back the dead?]

I don't want to jump to conclusions. However, if they died and were still taken here once, I don't think it would be wise to say it can't happen again.

[Tieria is quiet for a few minutes.]

I hope that he returns to Demeleier soon. I have no other opportunity to see him.

[ Well, Takano doesn't really know Tieria, so for the most bit she doesn't notice how troubled he is. She notices it perhaps just a little bit, since she's pretty good at reading people after all this time, but not nearly on the ful scale.

Besides, it's not like she would have shown empathy either way. A small near-smirk appears on her face, and her tone is light. ]

Ah, it seems it's happened a few times before.. Although I would say on the whole the chance isn't very big that a specific resident will return.

[Not very pleased with her answer, and certainly not very pleased with her tone, Tieria isn't the nicest in response (which is fairly typical of him, no matter who he is speaking to).]

How many times, that you know of?

I haven't experienced it with any people I personally knew, but I think I've heard people speak of at least one or two occurences? There were probably more, since I know I can't have caught everything.

[ Her own tone remains the same though, even if his response isn't nice. Apparently she just isn't bothered by it. ]

Can you give me any more details concerning what you've heard?

[ Oh hey a friendly face! Cue a tiny smile. ]

Tieria. [ As much as he was relieved to see him, the statement did throw him off a bit.

A colleague? Who? ]

[Allelujah's tiny smile is met with a not-so-friendly face. He isn't keen on speaking with his unfit colleague, but perhaps the super soldier may be able to answer his question (though he doubts it).]

Allelujah Haptism.

[His frown deepens slightly.]

Are you not going to answer my question?

[ He had expected that reaction- this was Tieria, after all. So when the frown is gestured, he does nothing in return to revoke the action, rather drawing up a pinch of question. ]

Setsuna is still here, right? That would make the three of us, unless you are referring to Miss Sumeragi... [ But she wasn't here either, was she? Who could he be talking about... ]

Setsuna F. Seiei is still here and Sumeragi Lee Noriega was not, and is not, present in Demeleier, Allelujah Haptism.

[He continues frowning at his colleague]

I was speaking about Lockon Stratos.

Tieria Erde.

[As much as he would to ask how Tieria is now, he already knows the answer. All he can do is... stand by him.]

Setsuna F. Seiei...

[His eyes dart to the communicator screen, head still facing away from it. Setsuna F. Seiei has to be aware that Lockon Stratos is no longer in Demeleier, right? He can't be that unfit and oblivious, can he?]

He's no longer in Demeleier. I-- [He hesitates] We're never going to see him again.

We may not. However, as the Fae is indeed capable of bringing others from different times despite the difference of our worlds... We may.

[In other words, it's not really certain whether or not Lockon could be dragged back here... Even if it had to be from that time all over again.]

[It takes the meister a minute to respond, and it's obvious that he's a bit upset.]

It's not fair. He was given a second chance only to have that taken from him in less than two months.

I don't think it's common, but it happens. I've seen it a few times and it happened to me too, though I don't know where I went when I was away.

It has happened to you? [Give him a minute to think about this.] You did not return to your home? Were you severely injured or deceased before arriving in Demeleier?

[voice] north_skie October 7 2011, 15:40:11 UTC
Dunno. [he's so helpful] I was here, then I wasn't and when I came back it was now. No one had seen me for months.

Most people go home though, I mean, so many came back and said they've been home. I don't have a home to go back to which is why I probably don't remember where I was.

[Tieria lets a small, irritated sigh slip.]

The fact that Demeleier can bring people from different points on a timeline complicates things. One of my colleagues has experienced things that I have not yet experienced, others have not yet experienced events that I have.
