American Jesus - read this.

I always try to make it clear that I don't dislike Christians. I am a Christian. No, i don't go to church very often, and I don't have pictures of Jesus all of over my house, and I really don't have much faith. But I have "hope" that Christianity is the righteous way. I hope that Jesus really was the son of God, and I "hope" that if there is a ( Read more... )

First of all, i for once agree with everything you said. Secondly...."Has anyone else ever chatted with unmarried young girls online who have a Bible quote in their profiles and say they are looking for a boyfriend who is a good Christian? Those are the same girls who brag about their oral sex skills and having anal sex. And many are from Texas." Sounds JUST like how i was. I dont know how to explain all teenage girls who are like that but i can explain me. I was brought up in church, went to private school for awhile, I went to all the church functions and i also went to bible studies every week. When i was 16 i went through some things that led me to really stop beliving and just start doing what i wanted. Because God always forgave me right? Eventually i lost faith and i became sexually active and to be blunt i pretty much became a slut trying to fill any void by getting drunk all the time going to parties all the time and trying to fix my problems. I eventually went back and forth on who i was and i became like what you described ( ... )

I agree with you both. I, on the other hand, DO NOT believe in God. That's my choice. I was raised in a "christian home" with christian morals, but we never went to church. I went to Bible school in the summers and learned about the Bible and all that Jazz. Somewhere along the line, as a teenager, I realized, I don't believe all this bullshit. That was my conscience decision. I believe, when you die you die. No after life, no soul burning in hell, blah, blah, blah. You just get buried to rot! I'm fine with that.

Now, I am glad that religion exists. I mean, what kind of a world would we live in if people didn't think there were consequences for their actions. I'm glad that majority of people live in fear of burning in hell. Helps to keep them in line.

By the way I added you. Your journal is smart and funny!

i just dont get why he hasnt been impeached for making religious based choices that has america divided us into being hateful toward one another, yet clinton barely made it through impeachment for getting his dick sucked...what the fuck is that? why oh why is he getting away with all of this? i know there is a tremendous about of blackmail and bribes surrounded in this whole thing but oh my fucking god, i cant believe there are so many people who wont REFUSE to wake up to the fact that this is so so so wrong. we are in a war that involves 2 countries that have been in a religious war for years and years, yet bush has now subjected us to a less prominate, yet very real war in our own country BECAUSE OF RELIGION. wasnt america established because people no longer wanted to be ruled by religion? today i was watching the news and someone created a gigantic mural of georges face made completely out of all the soldiers who have died in iraq. it was the most powerful piece of art i have ever seen and i dont know how georgie boy can live with ( ... )

He hasn't been impeached because articles of impeachment have to be voted on by Congress. Congress, currently, is comprised mostly of Republicans. That is why it is so extremely important to vote not just in a Presidential election, but in ALL elections. I know they don't seem important at the time, but they are ( ... )
