the days are just packed

this weekend has been pretty good. there was the white water rafting on friday. last night, steve and i went to see Fahrenheit 9/11. here are my thoughts, and i'll do my best to keep politics out of it. ahem:

I mostly just look at Michael Moore movies as over the top satire with a heavy sprinkling of loosely connected facts. I haven't seen this one yet but I plan to. While it was obvious that there was tons of bias in Bowling For Columbine, it did at least make me think a little about my preconceived notions about gun violence and I'm sure Fahrenhei 9/11 will accomplish the same for my feelings about the Bush Administration (which granted are very negative to begin with). However, to address MarK's point, his films generally fail at what most people think they are trying to accomplish (not necessarily what Moore himself is attempting to accomplish): reasoned political discourse. That's ok, though: there's a place for anti-Bush rants, Lord knows he deserves them all.
