Against Lindsay's advice, I studied a lot for the GRE verbal today: practice exam questions, vocab building, silly things. I have to maintain a competitive, it's-a-game, bring-it-on mentality, though I'm feeling some performance anxiety. I can always retake them and I'll do well. Why did she advise you not to study for the verbal? I will be spending the whole of this coming summer studying for both parts. It is really important that we put our best foot forward (i.e. 775 or higher on the verbal, for me anyway) on this thing.

LOL, I meant only today since its the night before-- she suggested to just take it easy the day before the exam. :)

*nods* I agree-- luckily it isn't required for most of the programs I'm apply to, but I hope to do well just the same. (Did you take them for your MAR?)

Nice, how did they end up going? Yea, they weren't required for any of my programs, so I decided to hold off until I could devote an entire summer to studying (as I will need them for the Ph.D.).
