I don't know specific numbers, but yes, for a given number of hours worked, they are required to give you a certain number of breaks. They are also not legally allowed to fire you for demanding your legal rights (right to work state is just about unions, nothing else). That doesn't mean they won't fire you, but if they do, you can sue them. Not exactly a good situation though.
I don't know anything about AZ labor law, but there is a Worker's Rights Hotline I think in Tucson that you can call up, leave a message explaining the situation, and they will research the state laws for you and call you back and tell you what your rights are.
I thought I could find the phone number online but I haven't had any luck so far. I will try tomorrow to call my friend who used to volunteer for the WRH, but you might look in the phonebook or ask if anyone else knows their number.
thanks for the help :), at the very least i feel a bit better. i was thinking of writing to human resources after i find out, and i think i'm going to do it anonomosly for now...might be a bit safer, as i'm not really in the position to want to get fired. :)
