Need an RP plan

I'm kidnapping some people, but I have to do it quietly so they won't know what hit them. Or at least so one of them doesn't know what hit them. I'm not exactly sure how I want to go about this. I need some inspiration.

So much is situation dependent, but there is always gas in the air vents to knock everyone out, drug the food, replace the 'cab driver', job interview, organize an event in their honor where you can control their appearance, dart from the distance if you can figure out their habits/patterns, etc...
