My dad gasped the biggest gasp when he read that this morning. He's an obsessive Law & Order fan, the regular type "not that SUV crap".

He was the dad in Dirty Dancing too.

That's terrible news. In addition, Joel Grey is having heart failure. Jennifer Laura Thompson may have severe vocal damage after her run-in with Bronchitis. Adam Pascal's voice is deteriorating after his AIDA run. And Idina Menzel is leaving Wicked for good this Sunday. :(

Ok, so no deaths...but Idina leaving Wicked is basically the death of the show. Shoshana Bean is not good enough.

no doubt adam pascal is having issues with his voice. I'll tell you, i'm not his biggest fan simply because of the way he sings. There are ways to sound like a rockstar without grinding your chords together.

BUT. I think wicked will keep on running. Its ultimate--specticle meets substance. huge tourist attraction, and i dont think it will close before they mnake the movie....yes, a movie. hollah. because that will only help it. Its a show of longevity as well. I think it will be fine. dont worry my pretty.
