Breaking Point
“That’s it,” Kris fumed, shoving his phone into his pocket. “Glitterbaby? Babyboy? Who the hell does he think he is?”
Within an hour, following hastily constructed lies to his wife and family, Kris was at the airport. It had taken a lot of name dropping and string pulling for it to happen, but somehow he was on the next plane to New York. It was while he was looking out the window that he thought of Katy and had the sinking feeling that somehow she knew. After all, she received Adam’s tweets, too. He was leaving a path of destruction behind him, but he couldn’t live with lying anymore.
It was time to stand up and face the truth.

His phone was ringing. Adam fumbled around on the nightstand to find it. All he wanted was for it to shut up so he could continue to sleep, but knowing it might be an emergency he glanced at the display. It was Kris.
“What the hell?” Adam pressed the button to take the call, but hehad already missed it. As he was about to call Kris back, the phone started ringing again. He didn’t hesitate. “Kris? What’s wrong?”
“What room are you in?”
“Why? What’s going on?” Adam squinted through the dark at the clock. It was four AM. He rubbed his face trying to clear the confusion clouding his brain.
“I’m in the lobby. I need to know what room you’re in because they won’t tell me.”
“You’re in Arkansas?” Adam said. Kris couldn’t be in New York, could he? “Aren’t you?”
“No, I’m in the lobby of your hotel and I want to come up and see you. Are you going to tell me or am I camping out down here until you show or they arrest me for vagrancy?”
Adam told him. “I’ll call the front desk and tell them to give you a key so you can use the elevator.”
“Thank you,” Kris said, and then there was silence. He’d hung up.
Adam made the call the lobby and after pulling on some clothes, he started to pace the living room of his suite, waiting for the knock on his door. A million things were racing through his mind on why Kris was here. Had something happened with Katy? Earlier when he’d talked to them, everything seemed fine. If there was an accident or somebody was ill, Kris would still be with his family, not chasing after him.
By the time the knock came, Adam was hovering behind the door. He yanked it open.
“Kris, oh my god, what’s wrong? Are you all right?”
Kris brushed past him. He continued to inspect the room, the bathroom and then the bedroom as Adam stared in astonishment. Something had happened to his friend. He was acting unhinged, especially when he yanked open the closet and bent to look under the bed. Adam followed him into the bedroom.
“Are you looking for Katy or something?” Adam asked. It seemed the only logical reason that Kris would be searching for someone in his room especially with that look of fury on his face. “Believe me. She’s not here.” He dropped his voice to a gentler tone. “Honey, I love Katy but I’m the last person she’d run to…for that.”
Kris dropped the bedspread he was holding and went to stand in front of Adam with his hands on his hips.
“Are you in love with him?”
“Huh? Are you talking about Drake?” Adam ran his knuckles down Kris’s chest, hoping to comfort him, but was surprised when a shiver ran through the body he was touching instead. “You know we broke up, and how I feel about it. Your shoulders are the ones I cried on.”
“No, not Drake,” Kris waved a hand through the air to dismiss that theory. “Tommy.”
“Tommy? Kris, I’m so confused,” Adam shook his head slowly. “What are you talking about?”
“Your little glitterbaby,” Kris sneered. “Are you in love with him?”
“No,” Adam said, as the dots slammed together in his brain. Kris was jealous. “I’m not in love with Tommy. Nor am I seeing him, sleeping with him or anything else. Not that it’s any of your business.”
“Yes, it is,” Kris said, shoving Adam square in the chest.
Adam landed with an oomph on the bed. He pushed up to his elbows. “How dare you? What the hell is your problem?”
The rest of his words were stopped when Kris crawled on top of him. “You belong to me.” Kris said, before kissing him.
It was the hottest, most possessive kiss anyone had ever laid on Adam and he was lost to it. He fell back onto the bed and wrapped his arms around Kris’s waist. Just this once he would bottom and gladly if Kris kept this up. He was in total domination mode and Adam wasn’t about to stop him. He sighed in disappointment when Kris ended the kiss.
“Do I belong to you?” Adam asked, with a touch of coquettishness to his voice. “When did this happen?”
“The first time we met,” Kris said. “I was just too stupid to realize it, or too stubborn to admit it. But from now on, it’s you and me.”
“Are you asking or telling?”
“Telling. You need someone to keep that slutty ass of yours in line. Any objections?”
“Fuck no,” Adam grinned. “My slutty ass is all yours.”
“Good,” Kris said, kissing Adam again.
As they yanked off their clothes, Adam made a mental note to send Tommy a huge bouquet of flowers to thank him for bringing Kris to him. That was, if Kris said it was all right.
The End
