He raised an eyebrow at her words, his breath catching just a little and the heat, despite himself settled in his stomach. It really had been too long since he'd held her, tasted her, felt her around him. He'd missed the way they just fit together. Of course he hadn't pushed it, he never would, he'd be content to help Dawna wherever he could and he hoped he was helping.

"It did?" he asked, blushing himself as she did. "I'm glad...w-what did she say?" why was he stuttering? It wasn't as if he didn't know her intimately but because it had been 7 weeks, it almost felt like the first time (but then again, every time they made love it did, the same emotions)

She smiled, curling up against him. "She said we're good to go," she said, laying her head on his shoulder. "She also said I'm perfectly healed and I looked 'surprisingly good for 6 weeks out' whatever that means." She smiled a bit. "So, what do you think, Dr. Jekyll? Ready to get back into the swing of things?"

He stroked her shoulder and collarbone as she spoke, unable to stop the grin crossing his face. "You always look good..." he said, teasing, his voice deeper than before.

"Always, my love" he grinned, his breathing slightly heavier.

She raised an eyebrow a little. "You forget, I saw myself the two days after I had Nathaniel... I did NOT look good then. In fact, I looked horrible. I can't imagine why you'd want to ever be with me again, knowing how horrifying that whole endeavor was." She let out a low laugh, wrapping her arms around him.

"Mmm... best thing I've heard all day... well, since 'I'm clearing you to resume normal sexual activity'. That one ranks right up there too," she teased.
