And this is no normal split shift, noooooo, Mike couldn't give me anything normal. Instead of being on call for lunch and supper, I get to be on call for breakfast too. But I'm downtown at the Dem HQ looking important and probably not doing anything remotely productive. That was a fascinating experience today, really. Dan (guy who's always down there) and I have a new appreciation for Patrick (guy who's actually paid to do this) because he didn't yell and scream or hang up on this Republican guy who called wondering why Senator Kerry has three purple hearts etc. Was v. impressed.
