Hi, I found my way here from the LiveJournal Buddhists Community, and I have to say, this poem is beautiful. I have re-read it now quite a few times and relate to it in my own way, with my own stories.
Did you write it? If so you are an excellent poet. I have friended you, I hope that's ok.
Same as the person above, I appreciated your kind response to the unnecessarily snarky comment on the post this morning on the Buddhist comm, and was curious about you, and found this poem to be quite beautiful and incredibly well-written. I've been trying to get back into writing poetry myself, after reading some of the wonderful Buddhist poetry that's out there, and reading this one of yours helps remind me not to be a lazy writer, to give my poems the depth of color, complexity, concept, and imagery that they need to be truly interesting and artistic as yours is.
I do hope you are writing more and will share them on your journal, and post links on the comm.
Hi, thank you for the compliments. I actually don't write poetry that often, but post regularly on LJ in a poetic prose form. I'd be happy to add you, and I hope that I could enjoy your writing as it comes up on your journal at some point.
Thanks, I'd appreciate the add and will reciprocate. Right now I only post fanfiction (anime) on my journal (yeah, I'm a 56-year-old anime fangirl *sigh*) and the occasional musing, political or otherwise, or the odd rant. I actually just this afternoon have been working on the first poem I've tried to write in over 20 years - and I don't know if I'll ever be convinced it's good enough to post. I've never been anything but very ambivalent about my attempts at poetry
