I see people like that all the time on the subway. Once, I was with a friend of mine, and we got on a train, and there was this woman who was obviously not quite all there sitting across from us. She was just sitting there, looking at nothing in particular, quietly singing to herself. I thought she was surreal. My friend kept making stupid faces and imitating her, and it pissed me off, because she wasn't doing anything wrong to anyone, she wasn't bothering anyone, why make fun of her?
It's kinda totally unrelated, but it just came to mind. Sorry about that.
