Yeah, the stuff about hardcore was correct but, when he talked about mods he just described why they were bad in the late 70's. But didn't really explain well why they were adversaries to punk/hardcore now, which was pretty annoying."For the asshole who loves to argue the point “punks are just as critical about looks as the social elite, except the punk criteria is different.” If you’re the kind of person who tries to argue that point, you’re a fucking asshole who just loves to be over analytical, because you know exactly what I mean when I say that punk involves less of the semantics that the “social elite” carry" That just bothered me, because he should have explained himself a little more clearly than just saying "you know what I mean".

the mod wasn't around in the 70s, we was talking about how mods are the equivalent because they only care about looks and scene points. The you know what i mena thing was that 1. you are an analytical asshole and 2. the fashion of punk was anti-fashion and the entire idea of anti-fashion si that fashion deosnt matetr so they're was not elite, it was anti-54

Alright, I'm Josh, and I wrote this article. There aren't many points to clear up, because anyone who affiliates themselves with "the scene" and, god forbid, leaves their computer every so often to attend a show would encounter these situations I'm referring to. The paragraph directly before "Ah the mod..." has several implications in it which show why mods are "adversaries" to hardcore. To the kid who can't connect the dots with studio 54 in the 70's to the reality of Boston now, just wake up and stop being so naive. The whole point is that hardcore and punk were never meant to involve that shit, and now they are. History repeats itself. The people who attended Studio 54 classified themselves as "post modern" and the term mod is short for that. I'm not one to get involved in semantics, and that's why I wrote about that in the paragraph "Ah the mod..." However, it's idiots like you which force me into spelling things out directly. Secondly, don't try to critique someone's writings if you can barely type. To the girl who ( ... )

To grindkilledemo, that was probably a combination of both our faults. I'm pretty sure after reading and fixing a few typos that you were talking to her in explanation of my article. So, I apologize for the ill will towards you. Constructive criticism is one thing, but bad points are another. I'm in a pretty bad mood and the last thing I need to hear is idiots. My best wishes go out to you, grindkilledemo and your poor typing.

PS I hate live journals, and moronic shit like this is why I don't have one.
