i understand the best friend thing, i havent had one in about three years, and she is still around. I know what you mean about not being able to get the closeness... its sad, i sometimes wish i had a really close friend, but then usually i get mad at myself for not being happy with all the friends i have, and appreciating them and all, i dont know exactly, but i understand that, at least i think i do, you may think i dont, and that no one can, or something, because that happens sometimes, and if so, ill understand, eventually. i think i have now overused understand.
