I ignored the Slayer completely and focused my full attention on the once-upon-a-time demon. She was very unimpressive to behold, but I guess a few years of humanity will do that to anyone. Plus, it was rather difficult to picture a non-corporeal being whose current obstacle to over come was a ferocious elevator and its many buttons of horror.

As he continually spilled his guts I got more and more interested. Vigilantes with delusions of righteousness. The M.O. sounded vaguely familiar, I'd nearly been suckered into one of those groups myself when I was first called. But I came to my senses.
"Looks like you might come in handy after all, girl. You'll see to our new friends problem concerning the feared vigilantes."
Yes! Oh yeah I needed some action...in a big bad way.
"So, do we want them dead or what?"

Stepping over the mess on the ground I motioned for her to follow.

Oooh, scary. Probably just a bunch of teens who thought themselves hot stuff 'cause they emptied out a vamp nest or five. Not like we haven't witnessed that before.

The first of which thoughts was, what a stupid name. How come whenever a bunch of do-gooders got together they always had to name themselves something corny? I did make note of, and log in my memory, the names that mattered, though. Hannibal King, Abby...
