Lisa was pissed. PISSED. She had just had her car into the shop to check on the noise in her engine. It shouldn't have conked out on her now. There was a mechanic somewhere that was not going to be having a happy woman in their garage later this afternoon.

And to top it all off, she was late for work!

She was leaning against her trunk on her cell phone when she saw the car pulling off to the side to help her. Her boss insisted that she stay on the line until they discovered who it was.

So she moved the mouthpiece away a bit when she turned to the... well damn that was the best fit pair of jeans she had ever seen. She licked her lips and flipped her hair back. "No. Engine's making a rattle that's louder than my radio and making it hard to steer. I swore the guy just fixed this."

"Yeah, well, some people don't know what they're doing." He paused for a moment, before nodding his head in the direction of the engine. "Mind if I take a look? I'm a mechanic."

He tried to say it as nonchalantly as possible. Weird guy pulling over on the side of the road and happening to be a mechanic just didn't happen every day, and the odds probably were pretty high in her mind that the guy was a axe murderer or something. The fact that he was actually telling the truth probably wasn't the first thing coming to her mind.

"Of course you are." Lisa told her friend quickly that if she didn't call back in ten minutes to call the cops, then put the phone in her pocket.

"Listen, I've already called triple A. You don't have to worry about me." She leaned against the side of the car. She had to admit, she wouldn't mind him being her mechanic, but right now on the side of the road was just a bit creepy.

Dean shrugged slightly before flashing her a grin. "Yeah, well -- could save you the hassle. Triple A'll charge you a couple hundred by the time they're done with you, while me? I'll do it for free."

And with that he held up his hands slightly. "I'm harmless, I swear. My mom just always taught me to help someone out when they needed it, but if you'd rather I leave you alone -- say the word and I'm gone."
