His head snapped up when he heard the motor idling in the driveway, and when he saw her, he couldn't help the grin stretching across his face. Bouncing up from his seat on the couch, he made his way to the front door, hopefully before anyone else noticed she was there, and jogged off the porch to meet her halfway.
"Hey. Miss me?"

Lisa lifted her head and saw a very gangly teenager leaning on the railing, rolling his eyes. "I take it that's Sam?" she asked, laughing softly.

Which really was all he wanted her to be.
He knew his parents' concerns. He knew they thought that he was too young to be jumping into something like this, and that he hadn't known her long enough, but it was just something he could feel in his gut. He knew. He had never felt this way about a girl before, and he just -- wanted to keep her. It was actually John who had let him go for it first, knowing that he and Mary had been just as young when they decided to get married. He was willing to follow Dean's gut, and Dean couldn't have been more grateful for it ( ... )
