Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities:
Dante is capable of strength and speed beyond any human and even most demons. This strength manifests in his personality as a tendency to solve his problems by punching things, be it stone or a jukebox, and his fist is quite capable of making its way through solid rock. His speed is complemented by lightning reflexes and hand eye coordination that allows him to weave through enemies and attacks with ease, as well as show off by doing things like balance on a flying rocket as though it were a surfboard. He was even shown to be capable of canceling bullet fire by shooting his own bullets at incoming ones with exact precision.
On top of his agility, Dante possesses rapid regenerative abilities. Otherwise fatal wounds don’t faze him, as he tends to get himself impaled by his own sword in every installment of the DMC series. He’s also survived being shot in the head and being sliced by a bunch of scythes. However he does eventually get tired, as shown when the much weaker Jester easily walked all over him after his energies have been spent fighting his twin brother Vergil. Vergil himself has beaten Dante and effectively knocked him out for a while.
As an individual of heightened strength, reflexes, and coordination, it would seen only natural that Dante is also talented at mastering any weapon almost as soon as he picks them up. He is shown to be capable of improvising with whatever is available to him on the spot. On top of a wide arsenal of weapons that include even a demoic guitar, Dante finds ways to be creative in his setting, such as jumping on a downed enemy’s back and skating around the room on it, or shooting billiard balls to make them bounce around and hit his enemies. Additionally he can channel his powers into objects or into the air, allowing him feats such as air-jumping. In spite of his impressive swordsmanship however Dante’s trademark lies in his skill with guns. His dual handguns serve as his trademark, as well as his deadly accuracy with them.
Lastly Dante has access to Devil Trigger, which is when he releases his demon power. His appearance changes and he gains speed and strength, and he also recovers his energy while it is active. With certain Devil Arms equipped it may also grant the ability to fly.
.
Weapons:
Dante’s arsenal comes in the form of Devil Arms, which are demonic weapons that are manifestations of a demon’s power or soul. Dante keeps a few of these on his person during missions on top of his firearms. Let us assume this was his set-up at the time of his arrival :
Rebellion - Dante’s trademark sword, given to him as a keepsake from his father Sparda. It is powered by magic, and has the ability to fly back to Dante if he throws it as a projectile.
Force Edge - Once belonging to Dante’s father Sparda, it contains the bulk of Sparda’s considerable demonic power. It is also known as Sparda, but since its name in Devil May Cry 3 is Force Edge, it will go by that name.
Nevan - A guitar powered by lightning and can also transform into a scythe. It has the ability to summon bats and lightning. As an added perk this is a Devil Arm that grants flight when Devil Trigger is active.
In addition to these Devil Arms Dante often carries his fire arms.
Ebony and Ivory - He never goes anywhere without Ebony and Ivory, a pair of semi-automatic handguns. The white-colored right gun, Ivory, was custom built for rapid firing and fast draw times, while the black-colored left gun, Ebony, has been modified for long-distance targeting and comfort [quoted from wiki]. The handguns are engraved with the dedication: For Tony Redgrave, By .45 Art Warks. (Tony Redgrave was an alias Dante used in his past)
Artemis - A demonic fire-arm that fires multiple arrows of demonic energy at once. Not one of Dante's trademark weapons, but a useful and flashy weapon (as decided by me, when I played the game).
Dante may or may not acquire more Devil Arms during his stay at Siren's Pull
History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History:
http://devilmaycry.wikia.com/wiki/DantePoint in Canon:
Dante will be taken to SP after the end of Devil May Cry 3. Vergil had chosen to stay in the demon world and Dante returned to the human world alone. However, he has made a friend in Lady, the mysterious devil-hunting woman Dante met who originally reacted antagonistically towards him. At this point Dante had just picked a name for his new demon-hunting business. Presumably, he and Lady spent their time hunting demons and eating pizza together before Dante gets yoinked into Siren’s Pull in the middle of one of his missions.
Since Devil May Cry 3 takes place before all the other games in the series, Dante will be lacking significant plot knowledge about his future. However, I felt this was the best version of Dante for Siren’s Pull because of his personality, which gradually matures and becomes less spontaneous as the series progresses. It is possible that in the future Dante will gain knowledge of his adventures in his own universe.
Character Personality:
Dante is most known for his confident and fearless attitude, which never falters no matter who or what he is facing. He is generous with taunts and quips, enjoys mouthing off to his enemies, and hates people with a bigger mouth than himself. He is incredibly flippant, and seems to enjoy it when this attitude rubs his more serious opponents the wrong way, although he doesn’t miss a beat even if his opponent does not get offended and plays along. He always gives the air that he isn't taking anything or anyone seriously, even when he is quite aware of the gravity of the situation.
Despite this carefree and laid-back demeanor, Dante has a strong sense of justice. He would most likely complain and make wise cracks about it but he will always do what he believes is right. He always wants to help others, and would take missions for free just to help out, which some of his clients take advantage of. To add to that, Dante is always willing to see the good in people. If someone shed a few tears in front of him he would immediately go soft on them, because tears mean humanity to him. As a half demon with issues towards his demonic side, he values the ability to cry as a gift from his 'better side.'
Although Dante is not stupid, when it comes to strategy, he rarely strays from simply brute force. In his line of work, that is not too much of a hinderance, but really, Dante will rarely calculate or plan beyond what his eye can see and his gun can shoot. That said he is excellent at making use of what is immediately available to him, but when it comes to complex planning ahead and things that involve sneaking around or patience, he probably won't stick around to listen to it.
As part of his personality Dante always has to look 'cool' doing everything, regardless of its practicality. He will resort to some ridiculous and inefficient antics for the sake of style. He WILL make the effort to be stylish, even if his only audience are demons he will cut down in the next few minutes. Everything will be done with his personal haughty flair. Always.
Character Plans:
More likely than not Dante will have lots of fun fighting monsters in the Darkness until he realizes that is not helping any of his problems. He will probably then try to set up a shop with a similar purpose as his original shop in his own world, as he has a very narrow range of expertise. Alliance with AGI or SERO would depend on whoever convinces him they are in the right and can get him home first, if they choose to recruit him at all.

[The screen flickers for a few seconds before focusing on not a man but a monster. It is roaring and making quite a fuss, but only for a few seconds before it shrieks and makes its way off the screen, though whether it fled or had been slain is not clear. The screen then shakes and finds itself facing a young man, wearing an expression of confusion]
Hello? Is this thing working?
[The screen shakes and bounces before re-focusing]
Well I guess it is working. Y’know, it’s in the middle of the night and I got somewhere to be. If you needed help killing demons you should have just called my office. It is quite rude to just drop me in the middle of...wherever this is and expect me to kill stuff for you. But hey, I will let this slide if anyone can tell me where I can find a good pizza

The signs the inhabitants of Siren's Pull left in the baseball diamond were easy enough to follow. The problem was there were strange...things...monsters Dante assumed were demons in the way. But Dante was quite familiar with this problem and his solution to it was always the same; if they won't get out of his way, he'll just ride over their corpses!
Fortunately for Dante, he was in the middle of a mission before he found himself faceplanted in the middle of the baseball diamond, which meant he at least had his weapons with him. He took out Artemis and fired a volley into the air, and as the purple arrows rained down they threw light on Dante's attackers.
"Wow ugly little fellas ain't ya," he commented, "no wonder you only like to play in the dark."
And so for the next few minutes Dante satisfied himself introducing his 'greeters' to Rebellion. Dante really had no idea those same monsters would simply respawn tomorrow, so to him they were pretty much exterminated by the time he walked away.
"Okay I got rid of some rats for you, whoever is out there. Can I at least have a pizza?" he asked into his NV. "Or maybe a ride home?" He fiddled around with the options on his NV, not quite sure what it accomplished but determined to try every possible setting until someone replied to him. As he wrestled with the device he swaggered his way towards the exit of the stadium.
The beeping of his NV didn't completely cover up the rustling sound in the darkess near him as he passed through the exit. With a quick flash of silver-white, Dante had Ivory drawn and aimed squarely at the direction the noise came from. "Whoever's there has about five seconds to convince me not to pull the trigger."
