“It was New York sense of humor, and no, you won’t,” Toby replied calmly from his seat on the steps of the stairwell.
Josh turns away from the window and looks at the speechwriter. Toby’s got a yellow legal pad on his thigh, one hand holding it there while the other grasps a pen. “I’m tired of waiting here.”
“Whining to me isn’t going to make the peace talks go any faster.”
“Toby, it’s Christmas!”
